About Us
We are a partnership of five organisations, who came together with a clear aim: to find a way to keep the EYou Schools competition, run by the National Forum on Europe, alive.

Together, we are: the Office of the European Parliament in Ireland, European Movement Ireland, the European Studies Programme, Community Relations in Schools (CRIS) and the Michael Sweetman Trust.

European Movement Ireland
European Movement Ireland is an independent, voluntary organisation that aims to explain Europe in a jargon-free way. We do this through a variety of campaigns, events and other activities across the country. From hosting debates to answering questions on the streets, we answer people's queries about Europe, and highlight what the Union really does and why.

The Office of the European Parliament in Ireland
The European Parliament Information Office in Ireland provides information on the European Parliament's role and powers, on the Irish MEPs and their activities, and on issues currently being considered by the Parliament. The European Union is of great importance for Ireland, and the European Parliament has a vital role to ensure that the EU remains democratically accountable, and responsive to you, its citizens.

The European Studies Programme
The European Studies Programme is a post-primary curriculum based programme linking schools in Ireland with schools across Europe through sustained collaborative projects furthering tolerance, mutual understanding and appreciation of the cultures of others. Currently more than 300 schools in 25 European Countries are engaged in the programme.

Community Relations in Schools (CRIS)
We are a community relations organisation, core funded by the Department of Education, who work with students at nursery, primary, and secondary levels. We also provide training for student teachers, teachers, parents, and others working in the education sector. Our workshops are designed to meet the needs of participants and to start the process of addressing issues of difference, division and conflict.he community relations sessions that CRIS provide are used to support the Schools Community Relations Programme, Education for Mutual Understanding and Cultural Heritage as well as the primary and post primary curriculum.

Michael Sweetman Education Trust
The Michael Sweetman Educational Trust was established in memory of the economist and pro-European Michael Sweetman, who died along with 117 others in an airline crash in 1972. Every year , the Michael Sweetman Education Trust runs a competition for students from Vocational Schools, Colleges and Centres. The prize for winners is a trip to the European Parliament in Strasbourg to participate in Euroscola, the pan-European youth forum.

My Vision for Europe - a Youth Democracy Project

My Vision for Europe is a Youth Democracy Project, an initiative of the Youth in Action Programme under the Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission.
The Youth in Action Programme seeks to support young people all over Europe in getting actively involved their community both at local and international level through participation in the mechanisms of representative democracy.

As a Youth Democracy Project, one of the main goals of My Vision for Europe is to foster a greater realisation of the concept of active citizenship among its youth participants.
