What Is My Vision For Europe?
My Vision for Europe is an exciting new all-island schools competition for Transition Year students. Students all over the island of Ireland will compete for a great prize by making their own creative video to express their own ideas, thoughts and vision for Europe!
How does it work?My Vision for Europe is an exciting new all-island schools competition for Transition Year students. Students all over the island of Ireland will compete for a great prize by making their own creative video to express their own ideas, thoughts and vision for Europe!
My Vision for Europe is a multimedia-based communication competition, which will challenge students all over the island of Ireland to express their ideas for Europe in the most creative and visual way possible: by making a video.
Registered schools will receive a “Europe pack”. This pack is a comprehensive guide to the My Vision for Europe competition. The pack contains: an introduction to the European Union, details of the four challenges for students (they will select one on which to base their video), a how-to guide for making the video and a creativity guide to encourage non-formal learning throughout the process.
Participating teams will upload their creative videos to the website, where they will compete for the chance to bring their project to the final event in March. Here, selected teams from every Euro-constituency will showcase their media project and verbally present their Vision for Europe to Irish MEPs and to their peers.
What is the prize?
One winning team will be chosen from both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The prize for both teams is a trip for 25 students to the European Parliament in Strasbourg to take part in Euroscola, the pan-European youth forum. How do I get involved?

Logistical costs for schools taking part in this competition are covered. How soon can we start?
Registered schools will receive their Europe packs in the coming weeks, so students can get started creating and directing their videos as soon as possible! The competition opens to entries officially on the 4 January, and teams have until the 29 January to upload their creative video online.
